WWI US Army Military 40 Men 8 Horses Society BRASS MEDAL & PIN / RIBBON MISSING

INFORMATION AVAILABLE FROM EBAY LISTINGS:  This is a nice First World War U.S. 40 & 8 veterans medal that is in excellent condition. The Brass planchet is nicely struck and exhibits crisp detail. It features a French Poilu looking at a wooden railroad boxcar with a horse and soldier in the doorway and with a sign on the side that reads, “40 Hommes/8 Chevaux”. The reverse is blank except for sterling silver markings at the bottom.
The medal was suspended from an horizon blue ribbon, that was mounted on a full wrap broach
with functional pin and catch assemblies.
The pin/catch assembly is included with this medal.
