    You are bidding on a WWI US Army 54th Infantry Regiment, “G” Company Pioneer Infantry Enlisted Collar Disk.
    The disk is used and is in good condition with some signs of wear and age.
    The backside has a screwback fastener that is in good working order.
    Pioneer Infantry units were formed from National Guard personnel to augment infantry regiments and were part of Corps and Army troops.
    The 54th Regt was organized on 16 June 1917 at

    . It was assigned on 16 November 1917 to the 6th Infantry Division. The regt saw service in Meuse-Argonne and
