    A  RARE WORLD WAR I ERA  ORIGINAL COLLAR  INSIGNIA FOR OFFICERS ASSIGNED TO GENERAL STAFF DUTY IN TACTICAL UNITS SUCH AS DIVISIONS,
    NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT TO MEAN ON THE STAFF OF A GENERAL RANK COMMANDER.
    A SUPER RARE INSIGNIA SINCE IT WAS CREATED IN LATE 1916 AND ITS USE RESCINDED IN DECEMBER 1917. THIS ONE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT MEASURES ABOUT 1 AND 3/8 INCH.
    IT IS A PINBACK WITH THE EARLY HOOK RETAINER. THE PIN IS FUNCTIONAL.
    NOTE THAT MY CAMERA AND STUDIO LIGHTS TEND TO REFLECT OFF THE BLACK BRONZE AND GIVE IT A GOLD TONE. THIS INSIGNIA IS BLACK FOR THE OD GREEN SERVICE UNIFORM.
    THIS INSIGNIA IS REFERENCED IN THE EXCELLENT INSIGNIA REFERENCE BOOK BY LTC ANDERSON TITLED "ENCYCLOPEDIA OF UNITED STATES ARMY INSIGNIA AND UNIFORMS" ON PAGE 327.

We do not ever end auctions early. We ask that payment for a store or an auction purchase  be made within 10 days of the transaction. After that we reserve the right to relist the item. We normally post feedback after we have received feedback from the buyer so that we know the item was received and the buyer is pleased with the transaction.

    The United States Postal Service is our shipper of choice. We will combined shipping cost for multiple purchases. We are in the Antique Militaria business and do not make money from shipping. We merely try to cover some of our basic costs.
