    Description

    Here is a SCARCE medal, struck in iron, from Dumont N.J. that depicts a soldier heading off to war and flanked by a young girl & boy and a laurel leaf sprig with this printed on the reverse:  BOYS OF CAMP MERRITT ARE GRATEFUL TO YOU 1919.  It measures approx. 1 1/4" and has a hole atop for suspension.  Smooth edge with some rust in places as evidenced by the scan.  Thanks for looking at this auction.
