AQUA-RITE REPAIR KIT Replace AS32 2R025 with SL32 2025, 2 Varistors, 2 Fuses

AQUA-RITE PCB Repair Kit AS/SL
Note: Newer Aqua-Rite PC Boards use the
AS32 2R025
(more energy absorbing) instead of the  earlier
SL32 2R025.
The SL32 2R025 can safely replace the AS32 2R025
Both thermistors have identical operational specifications except the AS32 version can absorb more dissipated energy before failing in an intense over voltage/current.
Both will sacrificially fail when the excess voltage exceeds the operational specifications in case of  a major lightning strike.
This sacrificial failure acts as a high energy fuse, protecting the rest of the logic circuitry.
(One blown component instead of destroying most elements in the logic circuitry.)

This board failure is often due to the "sacrificial" destruction of the fuse, or the thermistor and/or varistors used to protect the circuit from high voltage and high current surges that could occur after a lighting strike during thunderstorms or other power surge.
Normally the thermistor protects the circuit on start-up, providing a relatively high resistance (2 Ohm) at ambient temperature to limit "InRush Current", and then essentially disappearing from the circuit (0.02 ohm) when the current is near or equal the design current of 25 Amp. The part will fail when a power surge is much greater than the power handling capability of the part.
(It is possible the fuse may blow before the Thermistor or Varistors fail.)
A valid replacement thermistor is:

Varistors are used to "CLAMP" the incoming Voltage as a second protection device.
