Description
This auction is for 2 old real photo postcards showing the troops in Nogales, Arizona on the Mexican border in about 1916.. These are clearly soldiers on the border to deal with the Pancho Villa problem. One is captioned: Company C 5th
First California Infantry Arriving on Border, Nogales, Arizona. Photographer is H. E Wood Troop F 1
st
US Cav. Photo. The second one is captioned: Soldier’s Pastime Nogales, Arizona. This one shows soldiers huddled around each other and it looks like they are shooting craps or playing some other form of gambling game. It is also marked Wood Troop F Photo. Excellent clarity on soldiers uniforms, tents and wagon. The other photo also good view of uniforms and how they carried their gear. Both in very good condition. However the pastime postcard has a very tiny chip on the top edge. Look at images for more information about condition. High bidder gets both. Email me with any questions. Please see my other items up for auction also. I do offer shipping discounts on multiple purchases. Shipping within the US .50.
